Values Statement
Harrison County Democrats stand firm in our commitment to a strong America at home and abroad. We have committed ourselves to:
- A nation of good jobs and strong family farms that fuel our economy while respecting and protecting the land we work and live on;
- A politically responsible citizenry that assures social justice and honest, competent government officials;
- Effective and accessible education and healthcare that grow and nurture healthy individuals, families and communities; and
- A nation secure in its homeland and national defense while standing as a shining example of respect for human rights, freedom and democracy.
Harrison County Democrats believe that commitment begins at home doing our best
to inform and work for our families, friends and neighbors. We will
never concede a single precinct or office to those who would weaken
our nation through the politics of ideology, exclusion and special
interests. We will work to build a truly county-wide Democratic Party,
united locally and integrated with our fellow Iowa Democrats and our
national Party to continually strengthen our membership, cultivate
new leaders, and elect Democrats at every level of office.
